The 2013 Who Loves Who Competition is a chance for young New Zealanders to celebrate New Zealand music by recording their own interpretation of a New Zealand song.
Our head judge Chris Caddick – Managing Director of RIANZ had this to say of the entries:
“As each year goes by the pool of fantastic songs composed by New Zealanders grows. “Who Loves Who” is a terrific idea, it’s wonderful to hear young Kiwi musicians interpret the songs of their peers and predecessors.
The big jump in the number of entries this year confirms the inspiration provided to aspiring musicians by our established stars. There was also a noticeable lift in the overall standard of performance, and it was difficult to choose just one winner. Sincere congratulations to Calum Stewart and his band Winnderful for a superb rendition of the Pluto classic “Long White Cross””
